Check data cable by substitution if possible. Try using the IDE cable going
to the CDrom drive.

Subject: [24hoursupport] Hard drive not booting (hex virus)

My hard drive has recently stopped booting. It still powers up but is
not detected by bios. A friend suggested that it could be a hex virus,
but I can find no info about this no the web.

Anyone have any ideas?

cheers,

            dave.
