If yuur cartridges don't have the print heads on them, then they
are down on the bottom of the "box" they sit in. The holes in the
bottom are for the ink to be carried to the print heads. some
printers are made this way Epson & Canon are two I know of. Jim

Suddenly my printer has quit printing black ink, when I have a 1/2
full ink cartridge.
It will print in color, I have tried everything by uninstalling
and reinstalling the printer and driver. I even just checked
marked it to print in black in the properties.
