Make a search on Google for :lead crystal poisoning of alcohol.

You get tons of sites on the subject but surely an urban legends site
is not the appropriate source for such verification. You can make an
advanced search in Google specifying only .EDU sites or .ORG sites
which may give proper information from Universities, Hospitals and
Health Organisations.

You can see this site which has the following info:

Warning On Lead Crystal

One study found that wine and acidic juices can draw the lead from
lead crystal glassware. Thus the Food and Drug Administration
recommends caution in the use of lead crystal glassware.

Because of lead's hazard to the fetus and to children's developing
nervous systems, this FDA caution is especially directed to children,
and to women who are pregnant or are considering pregnancy.

[In case you have trouble searching in google please let me know. I am
asking you to search so you can learn how to find information easily
from search engines.]
