SAVAL

SAVAL is the acronym for Sociedad Astronomica de Valparai­so y Vina del Mar, an a non-profit cultural and scientific institution, dedicated to astronomical studies and related sciences, as well as the dissemination of this knowledge in the community in general. It is the first Chilean amateur astronomical institution and is a founding member of the Latin American Astronomy League. Since 1956 it has brought together astronomy fans and has contributed to the dissemination of this science in Chile.
