qpac: Queens Poetic Alchemy Collective Poetry Exchange
Queens Poetic Alchemy Collective, or QPAC, is a group of writers based in Queens, NY who share a passion for poetry. We have led a weekly open mic in Queens for years and transitioned to an online Zoom -based open mic since the coronavirus crisis. This list will be for making event announcements as well as for exchange of poetry, with the goal of exposing each other to a diverse range of poets and poetry, keeping a balance between sharing our own work, the work of others, and inspiring each other with positive feedback. We are meant to be a safe space for all to share openly. Our philosophy, influenced by Daoist priniciples of alchemy, is based on the transformative power of poetry that allows us to express, explore, reveal, change, love, and ultimately heal ourselves.
