Just a reminder to everyone that the SLAGA Best-Of Awards nominations are
still in progress. We've received very few nominations as of this time, so
I thought a reminder email might suffice in getting more nominations. I
understand a lot of you are busy, but nominations only take 10-15 minutes.
Below you will find a copy of the email that was sent out to all SLAGA
members.

In order for the awards to be a success, it depends on the SLAGA
membership. These awards aren't chosen by the Board, but by YOU.

Fellow Cachers,

Team S.A.G.E., with the approval of the SLAGA Board, announce the inaugural
SLAGA Best-Of Awards. Below, you will find information about the Awards.
At the bottom is the Official Ballot for the nominations. Official Rules
are available on the SLAGA website ( http://www.geostl.com ) or by
requesting a copy.

Remember that these Awards are member-chosen. The SLAGA Board has no
determination in the awarding of the Awards.

All mailed-in votes must be postmarked September 16, 2007 or earlier
and received by September 27, 2007 to be counted.

Members are allowed to make one nomination per category and only one
nomination per member will be accepted. If a family shares one email
address, one vote will be counted for each member that is a registered
member of SLAGA and has the ability to vote. If multiple nominations per
category are sent, only the first correctly listed nomination will be
accepted; all other nominations will not be counted for the category. If
multiple emails are sent, only the first email will be accepted; all other
emails will not be counted for the category.

Nominations emailed before or after the posted deadlines, nominations
without the required information, nominations sent by non-SLAGA members, and
nominations that are unreadable will not be accepted. Nominations in
categories they don't qualify for will not be counted.

What caches are eligible:
Nominated caches and/or events must have been published prior to August
12, 2007, and must be within SLAGA territory. SLAGA territory is defined
as: "the area insides the boundary of an imaginary circle with a diameter of
100 miles from a center point located in the vicinity of the area code of
63025." To read more about the SLAGA territory, go to:

Except for events, all nominations must not be archived and must be
kept active through the voting period. Nominated caches must be available
to everyone (not member-only caches). Caches may be nominated for more than
one category, and may win in more than one.
