Hello,
I know first hand that "Quoted Printable" causes the "=" sign to appear in
all of the "freelist" groups that I am involved with. I do not remember if
the same goes for "Base 64". This may be due to the automatic word wrapping
by the software that freelist uses, just a guess.
Without going into the pros and cons or stating my opinion, I "dealt with
it" by changing and leaving my 'MIME' encoding options to "None" and let OE6
wrap my e-mail at its default settings. Though my settings may still create
a mess with quoted posts, other subscribers are spared the added "=" or the
"(=3D)" when I reply.
