I'm not sure if you can light them manually if the auto goes.

Sorry, I didn't mean I wanted the lighter separately from the cooker though, in the days I last had a gas cooker, that was how it was. I understand the need to get full automatic ignitian, but my question still stands: "Does it go wrong and, if so, what then?"

Gas lighters actually interfere with my sonus radio would you believe!!

Hi all,
The time has come for us to have a new cooker so any recommendations (avoiding ceramic hobs) would be welcome and we need an all-in-one. We need a smaller size - width 18.2", depth 21.5 and about 48" high. We realise this will be a limitation to start with. We also want to be able to have Braille on knobs, unless they click and we really don't need it. Ideally we'd like a fan assisted oven but there probably isn't one of this size. Electric or gas will be acceptable, though I'd like to know how people find gas lighters these days. Do they continue to work well after a longer period and/or can they be easily replaced?
I look forward to any comments. Thanks.
