Rubin Battino will be talking abut his Greek/Jewish heritage this Sunday
at the YS Unitarian Fellowship. There was a Jewish presence in Greece
from about 150 BCE on. He will show historical slides of old synagogues
and significant figures in the history of the Jews in Greece. This will
include some material on the "false" Messiah Shabbetai Zvi, his parents
home town of Ioannina, some family photos, some slides from a tour of
Greece, and some material on the Jews of Albania. The meeting starts at
10:00 am and the presentation at ca. 10:30 am.
