[YAMos-dev] Re: updating netinclude?

If there's something that can be fixed, I'd like to hear about it. The
Roadshow SDK header files came together in the current form for various

files or, for that matter, the Miami SDK header files were supposed to
work.

Oops. Olaf is on the list ;-)

I have been on the list for a while since I started fixing stuff in the UIDL management and the preselection download code. Not that much of the changes survived, though ;-)

Let me never have a job as a diplomat!

Some people might say the same about me. I use gotos in my code on purpose and do not regret it.

Just to clarify, I may have given the wrong impression. From what I
understand It was more to do with the fact that some work had been made to
make posixlib compatible with the miami/amitcp includes (Which I have
heard are not all that great ?), and that perhaps making them compatible
with roadshow would be more work.

The AmiTCP and Miami SDK header files are difficult to get along with. They represent variations of the BSD kernel header files, and if you added the BSD kernel source code to it, you might still be able to build an operating system with them. When I cooked up the Roadshow SDK I thought that since this was not intended to work as a BSD kernel, maybe you didn't need all the BSD types and data structures. If your code assumes that they are around, you're in for a surprise :-/

So I hope no offense was caused, and if there was I am to blame, (With my
big mouth) !.

Hey, if somebody's going to offend somebody, it should be me ;-)

However, the best course, rather than me being an undiplomatic messenger
would be for you (olaf) to get in touch with frank to try and get the
includes conflicts sorted ?

Yup :-)
