It may not be directly related to NList but does seem to affect the NList
classes and tends to rear its head mainly in YAM. AFAIK it only affects the
OS4 version of MUI and has been mentioned in many threads on AWN etc.
The IB developers certainly are aware of it as I remember talking to Dave
Fisher about it when starting to look into using MUI myself.
It does sometime happen on other MUI apps but mainly in YAM. I have a colour
set for the Nlistviews List. This is selected from the RGB colour whell
gadget. Obviously a bitmap would not be affected. Sometimes when I run YAM,
never the first time but a subsequent time, the colour is entirely
different to that selected. The colour wheel gadget shows the correct
colour but when it is Used or Saved the incorrect colour still shows.
This can be solved by sometimes iconifying YAM or sometimes YAM needs to be
shut down totally. Typing Avail Flush in a shell seems to clear what ever
memory is being corrupted and then running YAM once more the colours are as
they should be.
BTW. The colour is set in MUI global settings rather than the settingsd used
just for YAM.

Is that enough for a start :-)
I have not heard of older versions of MUI being affected only the OS4
implimentation.

From past conversiations with an OS4 beta tester on the IB team, it seemed
that the OS4 Colour bug *was* already known about. My apologies if this
assumption was not correct. In my experience it has only affects NList but
again it could be an occurence of a wider bug affecting MUI rather than the
NList classes.
Regards,
Bill.
