I agree 100%.

And a lot of any apps that use NList objects too. It is not just MUI, it
seems others caught on to the idea and have autoclipping now. Keeping it is
essential for user friendliness.

BTW. When is Jens going to fix that bug shown above where the underling not
only shows the text as underlined but the delimiters too, we don't need
noth in the YAM Read Window.

This is entirely the point. It may not be a "standard" but unless Windows or
Apple impliment it, then it will never  be so. Just because they do not
have a feature does not mean we cannot. If it had an adverse effect I could
understand it, but this feature is beneficial.

I second this. The IB developers seem to want to keep it. Other apps using
texteditor.mcc still have the ability with the newer .mccs, I checked
NewsRog and that still allows auto clipping. Jens could easily put it back
even if it was relegated to an annoying option you have to set to get the
correct behaviour.
