Thanks, Jon. This thread and the various contributions to it have
been informative for me. I'm sure I'll be consulting it when the
angel of death comes for my XP machine (eight years old and still
purring, knock wood). The challenge for me will be getting Xy to run
full-screen, as windowed Xy doesn't cut it for me. I wonder if XP or
an earlier version of Windows can even do that in a 64-bit
environment.
