Log on problem / Mac Lion problems

I'm trying to set up xy4 to work either in Dosbox or Boxer on a new Macpro
running Lion. Ugh. Despite several configuration problems in Dosbox, which I
won't go into, I've been able to get Xy4 running in Boxer.

The problem is that the log file called in my startup.int file refers to a
directory that doesn't exist yet, and I can't get into xy to fix it because I
keep getting blocked with a message saying "Please log on". Is there an easy
way to log on from the command line?

If anyone has set up Dosbox in Lion, I would greatly appreciate help.

And yes, I am seriously considering spending the money  & time to try Parallels
(and find a copy of XP to load in it). But it seems wise to wait for Mountain
Lion upgrade.

Also, could someone point me to Carl's Portable Xywrite. I've got it buried
somewhere, but never tried it. Now might be the time.

Lisa
