Hi Folks,
Hi again Erik, since it is intended that the new Password Policy draft work with both X.500 and LDAP, I wanted to mention that I've refreshed the existing LDAP Password Policy draft. The new revision is available here
https://datatracker.ietf.org/drafts/draft-behera-ldap-password-policy/ and I've posted a summary of recent changes here http://www.openldap.org/lists/ietf-ldapext/200908/msg00004.htmlThere are still several TBD items which I had planned to flesh out based on the X.500 draft.
Hopefully we'll be able to converge on a spec that works going forward without being too disruptive to the implementations already deployed on current LDAP servers.
SC6 has made the latest draft of Password Policy available. It may be downloaded from http://www.x500standard.com/index.php?n=Ig.Extension. SC6 has authorised that we bring this document forward to PDAM status during the September 2009 meeting. Please provide comments in time for that meeting.
