I'm attaching a cut down version of paper produced by the Police for the WPEG
partners which hopefully gives further information about the Data Sharing
Project. (The rest of the paper explores funding for the project - I propose to
confirm to the WPEG that we are unable to support the project financially.)
However we have a role to play in engaging with partners for the benefit of the
communities we work with. Gary, with his experience of the Connecting Families
programme in Redditch,  has already indicated an interest to this - we we can
discuss it further on Wednesday.

The next meeting of the Reference Group is being held next Wednesday 5th
October 2016 from 10am until noon in the Community Room at Waitrose in London
Road in Worcester. When you get there you need to book in at the Welcome Desk -
to make sure they have a record of your registration number so you won't get a
charge for parking - normally parking is limited to 2 hours. They will then
direct you to the room.

No refreshments are provided so please collect pick up a up a cuppa from the
bakery counter or the coffee shop.

Paul Kinsella - Strategy Development Officer (Community Safety) - has agreed to
come along and explore with us the role the VCS can play.

  *   Worcestershire Data Sharing Project -
It is widely acknowledged that poor sharing of information between those
involved in supporting people leads to poor outcomes. The public sector
partners - led by the Police - are working together to try to improve things.
This supports the outcomes from the Connecting Families work and there are two
strands to the project - (1) using data to identify target groups and (2)
sharing data about particular cases.
VCS organisations work with many vulnerable groups and so could benefit from
better data sharing. Discussion on how we can contribute to the project as it
develops.

  *   Your Life Your Choice -
The Council are exploring extending this to include information and advice for
Children and Families - linked to the Family Front Door.
