SWM Yes I do stand to be corrected in my quote. How do I understand this "Four years ago I had occasion to re-read my first book (the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus) and to explain its ideas to someone. It suddenly seemed to me that I should publish those old thoughts and the new ones together"; That he has published another book with both idea's in it, or that he is thinking of publishing another book with both ideas, or both his old thoughts and his new thoughts are in Philosophical Investigations? I think you see the ambiguity i'm talking about. He goes goes on to write "I make them without doubtful feeling. it is not impossible that it should fall to the lot of this work, in it's poverty and in the darkness of this time, to bring light into one brain or another-but, of course, it likely." What can we make of this? it does resembe the contentous remark to Russell and Moore when he patted them on the back and said they would not understand the Tractatus. Also if you put a poets spin on it it also makes interesting reading. _________________________________________________________________ Brrr... its getting cold out there Find someone to snuggle up with http://a.ninemsn.com.au/b.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fdating%2Enz%2Emsn%2Ecom%2Fchannel%2Findex%2Easpx%3Ftrackingid%3D1048628&_t=773568480&_r=nzWINDOWSliveMAILemailTAGLINES&_m=EXT
