... trying out something new. It's pretty darned easy to subscribe to an rss feed. We have feeds for everything you can imagine. Last 50 threads. Last 50 messages. Any one particular thread. Any topic of threads. With the discussion board, I have the capacity of creating new rss-lines simply by moving messages around. Imagine a thread on topic X. Now imagine it being pruned for the less knowledge-worthy contributions. It would turn into topic X (alpha) and topic X (beta). I could take the feed for alpha, put it on the wiki as a "knowledge-discussion page," and allow people to subscribe only to the alpha part of the discussion. Of course, the page could refer to the beta-discussion, and people could subscribe to both if they wanted. But the point is: I can now harness Wittrs content and allow people to subscribe only to one tiny aspect of it. I'm still playing around with all of this. Way too soon before I can realize any potential here. But for now, I have this: 1. latest 50 messages: http://seanwilson.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wittrs:threads:last50messages 2. latest 50 threads: http://seanwilson.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wittrs:threads:last50threads 3. Message/Topic Page: http://seanwilson.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wittrs:threads Regards and thanks. Dr. Sean Wilson, Esq.
