[wisb] yard and loon in Mke Co.

Well, I wish our northern sisters and brothers 'n birds 'n beasts comfort
tonight in the deep snows. We experience the wind here in the south - much
treefall as a result - but our snows were far gentler. One small surprise
this morning was to see the Fox Sparrow scratching the icy coating beneath
the red twig dogwood where I deliver ground feed; it has remained for
nearly a week, but is shy to reappear when I reseed the area.

And, I took time during the afternoon to check for the injured loon in Bay
View. No sighting was had from Cupertino Park's helicopter pad or at any
possible nearby landfalls at South Shore Park. Is it possible that someone
rescued this beautiful bird and took it to rehab? (I am not hardened to
these acts of nature....)
