Pt Reyes--when it's happening(migration), it's Mecca. When it's not, it's not bad at all and a beautiful drive. Would anyone care to recommend places for me to go to make the best use of my limited time? I'll be staying in Palo Alto, and I assume I want to head for the coast. I've birded a bit in Southern CA, but are there species in the Bay area I should try to make it a point to look for? I have some lists of sites I've gleaned from California birding web pages, but nothing's jumped out as the "one place to go if you've only got a day", except perhaps for Point Reyes. Thoughts?
