[wisb] purple martin decoy

Question for you purple martin people....
Making a move of some purple martin houses and gourds at my Dad's house in 
Wautoma. We have tried for years to attract the martins with no luck. Every 
year we do see a scout or two stop by and look .We have moved the houses closer 
to the water and further away from the trees. I was thinking of buying a decoy.
Can anyone shed any light on if they work or not? Gimmick?
