I just spent the several days near Whitefish Point with friends to enjoy
astronomy in the dark skies. Lake superior waves slapping the beach at
night, more stars than you've ever seen, few mosquitos or biting flies and a
aurora borealis teasing the northern horizon while whip-poor-wills and
coyote sang.
