FYI. More eBird Records will be deemed "Rare" or "Unusual" from Feb 12-22 due
to the Great Backyard Bird Count.  We appreciate your patience and thank you in
advance for providing good descriptions!
The Great Backyard Bird Count is Feb 17-20. Interested in participating (just
keep eBirding as usual), or follow the link below:
http://gbbc.birdcount.org/get-started/

Why the filter changes?  A few common species are frequently misidentified or
over-counted by newer birders on the GBBC.  Frequent misidentifications stem
from look-alike pairs like House/Purple Finch or Red-bellied/Red-headed
Woodpecker.  Over-counting errors are often the result of counting the same
bird as it repeatedly visits a feeder (i.e. recording 7 visits by 1 Hairy
Woodpecker as 7 Hairy Woodpeckers).

Thanks!
