[wisb] Re: among the 1st 10 birds of the new year

First bird was a crow in the snow.

A quick drive through Lakeside Park led to several usual species, and this odd 
sighting:  pelicans feeding just off shore...in Lake Winnebago in January...   
With falling temps and nasty winds, I hope they don't plan to hang around long.

One had more white feathers than the other - adult and young?  The darker one 
was putting on quite a fishing show.
