[wisb] Western Grebe Yes

I went down early this morning to try and locate the Western Grebe at
Horicon Marsh. Ran into Dave F, but both of us were unsuccessful.
On the second pass, I ran into Anne M. We saw very little. However
when we separated, I found the Western Grebe in the pond EAST of the
pumphouse. It was quite a ways back, although it could be seen with
binocs, but was much better with a scope. I was able to bring Anne
back and we both enjoyed it thru the scope.
It was surprising how little else there was along 49. There were
only a few shorebirds, no large shorebirds, and no ibis. Two
Whooping Cranes were back in the marsh west of the pumphouse. They
seemed to be doing a little courting?!

What a change in the marsh from last week. However there is
excellent habitat for shorebirds and hopefully more will appear
during the rest of the month.

Again, the Western Grebe is east of the pumphouse, quite a ways
back. Good luck.
