A nice morning to be out around our place in Waukesha. Had my first barn swallow of the year, along with a good selection of other birds. Got to witness several blue jays mob a poor great horned owl, and then on the way back some crows did the same. Also in one of the ponds had a mallard with 10 ducklings. Here are some photos. Cloudy skies made for some so so photos of the ducks but still cute! Ducklings and mom: http://tinyurl.com/35s57zu Juv. GHO stretches its wings on a precarious perch: http://tinyurl.com/32h8xjf Juv.
