[wisb] Trinity Creek

The mystery bird I was following last week when Marilyn and Norma were there
seems to be a Semipalmated Sandpiper.  I was on the shore by it when 2 Least
Sandpipers walked inches by it.  The feet were black, bill chunkier, and it was
slightly larger.  The 2 Short-billed Dowitchers have not been seen again.
Osprey flew over on it's usual flight pattern,2 Green Herons in and near the
Gateway pond,( seems too early to see bullfrogs and dragon flies) 2 Blue
Herons, Pair of Eastern Kingbirds, 1(of 2) Semipalmated Plover, always the
Savannas,Meadowlarks, etc.  I found a dead Kildeer yesterday wedged into the
branches of a small tree off the path.  A hiker on Sun. said Fri. he saw what
sounded like a dead shorebird near that area off the path.  So I learned
something from Sandy Manning at SANC, with my dead, bagged kildeer with me,
that Hawks cache their food in trees.  So, someone will be missing their meal
unfortunately.  I thought some sick
person picked it up and stuffed it into the tree.
