[wisb] Summer Tanager, 13 Warblers - UW Arboretum

Michael Kamp and I birded the west end of the Arboretum this evening
from 4:45 - 6:45.  We had a very productive walk, with a large
concentration of birds at the springs near the Council Ring.
Individuals from a flock of about thirty warblers came down to drink,
bathe, and eat providing very good looks.  The highlights were
BAY-BREASTED and MAGNOLIA WARBLERS, 3 VIREOS, and one FOY EASTERN
WOOD-PEWEE.

Further on down the trail we met a man with a camera who asked "Do you
guys know your birds?"  He showed us some very nice photos of a
first-spring male SUMMER TANAGER that he had taken near the Wingra
Boat House earlier this evening.  He said it had flown off in the
direction of the Council Ring, but we could not find it despite a
search.  I asked him if he would send the photos to the Audubon
Society or WSO.
