Although I already had binoculars and an interest in birds, my enthusiasm got a big boost in the autumn of 1969, when October brought us the largest stopover of Snow and Blue Geese in Wisconsin in my lifetime. I got to see good numbers of them both at the Mead Wildlife Area and Necedah NWR. I hope to be able to recall that memory during my last days aboard the planet. Michael J.
