Subject: [wisb] Snowy Owl YouTube video

Thanks to Bill Mueller's recent posting on the Snowy Owl, I followed some
of the further links and came across a YouTube video that is fantastic. It
is made by the folks at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and shows the
breeding grounds of the Snowy Owl in the arctic. With this video the fuzzy
picture I had of the artic in my mind is made perfectly clear. Now I can
place the Snowy Owls we've been seeing in Wisconsin into their native
settings. Most of the video is about Sanderlings but about two thirds of
the way through it features a nesting pair of Snowies with chicks and the
male bringing a lemming to the nest to feed the chicks. It's outstanding!

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4Wn0zhxv1Q&lr=1

I apologize if this is a repeat of a previous post.

Good birding to all in the new year!
