Next Saturday afternoon, February 25, Jeff Bahls will be leading the "Winter
Raptors of Horicon Marsh" tour to benefit the Bird Protection Fund of the
Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. Targets include nesting Great-horned
Owls and Bald Eagles, Northern Harrier, Rough-legged Hawk, possibly even the
Hwy 49 Snowy or a Short-eared Owl--plus all the other cool stuff at Horicon
these days, like those famous Wood Duck nest boxes! Open water after this warm
snap might provide some interesting waterfowl as well. Details and registration
here: http://www.cvent.com/d/rvqb31 Jeff's an amazing guide with a wealth of
knowledge and infectious enthusiasm--we're lucky to have him as a leader!
Thanks and good birding!
