Greetings all,
I was taking photos in Lakeshore Park, of the park and the missing Long Tailed
Duck, when I came upon the headless Coot too. It surprised me as it appeared to
still be fairly fresh. I looked around to see if anything was watching it, but
saw nothing there in the field and area. In fact there were no birds to be seen
except in Lake Michigan. I thought what got it would have stayed to finish it.
I also saw only a few birds behind the Art Museum, at the Marina, and
Northpoint. Others reported it was afairly good day. I decided to see if I
could track down Ross's Goose again since many sightings were reported. Went to
S. Milwaukee, 4mi, and 5mi but no Ross's Goose. So went on to Bong and saw the
Eurasian Finch again, but it wouldn't stop again for a photo. I was
disappointed in no Ross's Goose, since I had tried several times at Mukwonago
and pond off Hwy 20 previously. Also, need a spot like S. Milwaukee where can
get a photo. Any more sightings, but not so far out?
Anyway, with the rain, I corrected my House Finch and Common Redpoll photos to
the correct name from the previous discussions. Also, because of all the talk
about the Coot and Lakeshore Park, I finished my Panorama Lakeshore Park photos
and the Long Tailed Duck photos. If anyone would care to see them, as many of
you stopped and talked to me when I was taking them, you can see them at either
