An easily seen red-tailed hawk nest is near the entrance to the Ottawa Lake Campground, in the South Kettle Moraine State Forest. It is on the right as you turn into the campground (and across the road from the Scuppernong Nature Trail area) high in a tree. A hawk flew off and back into the nest, while I was there this morning. It would be a great place to take kids to view it, since it's so close to the road. Best viewing is from across the street. Another sign of spring: 6 stems of Skunk Cabbage are just peaking above ground at the springs off a side trail along the Scuppernong Nature Trail.
