When I lived in Carroll Co. Maryland back in the late 1980's, a Falcated
Duck appeared on Piney Run Lake near Sykesville. It's origin was never
confirmed as being either wild or an escapee. It was a gorgeous duck, as you
can see by the photos in this link.
