Should make a retraction here I guess. Jeff Bahls, who lives right in the area told me that he only got an inch and a half by this morning. I looked at the precip totals for GB and forgot that they are always high, should have gone to malisons which are closer to reality. Still almost 2 inches of rain in the area though, but definitely not 4 inches. The low also appeared to have slowed down some and the west winds will not end tonight as I had predicted. Oops! With the reported decrease in water levels in the Columbia county shorebird areas and maybe even Horicon, levels should rise again and allow many of the birds to come closer for better viewing. Rain should be gone by this afternoon, and this weekends wind forecast looks pretty good with winds coming out of the southwest tonight, then shifting to the west Friday, before shifting back to coming from the south for Saturday and Sunday. Temps will be in the 70's for the weekend for most of the state with dry conditions throughout.
