Exactly... young birds have straw colored eyes which will eventually become dark brown. Also if you note cere and foot color you will find full adults are more yellow, while immatures are paler with greenish cast. Going through the rest of my pictures, I found other dark Roughies with dark eyes. I know that raptors' eye colors usually change from juvenile to adult, but I've only ever paid attention to it in light morph birds. Could that be what is occurring here, with the juvies having dark eyes and the adults having light? Any information/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
