Wisconsin Birders, Someone was asking for suggestions for places to find Golden Eagles. Based on my experience on the Friendship Christmas Bird Count over the past six years, I have had a 50% chance of finding Goldens at the beginning of January in the early afternoon flying from Rattlesnake Mound west toward Quincy Bluff in southern Adams County. I agree that a little wind and sun is helpful. See this Google Map - http://g.co/maps/2au2b . The Gazeteer is better. Rattlesnake Mound is east of 14th Ct/Av, west of 13th Dr, south of Dyke Dr, and north of Edgewood Dr. It seemed to me that the best place has been on 14th Ct about a third of the way from Edgewood Dr to Dyke Dr. Paul Hunter, Whitefish Bay, Milwaukee County http://home.roadrunner.com/~phunter1/FriendshipCBC.html Mon, Jan 2, 2012 ===================================================== #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
