[wisb] Re: Oriole arrival: South Milwaukee

I saw my personal first-of-year Baltimore Oriole at lower Kletzsch Park this
morning. It was also a bright orange male, frequently singing. Other FOYs
were a Lincoln's Sparrow under the feeder at the Milwaukee Lake Park's
Wolcott statue, and finally, some Blue-gray Gnatcatchers in the ravines in
Lake Park. The earliest previous date I have seen the oriole is 5-1, so like
Betsy, I am seeing it a few days early. The Lincoln's Sparrow seems right on
time though.

Just working at my drafting table overlooking the yard, and lo! heard the
first oriole of the year. Bright orange Baltimore's sitting atop the jelly
feeder scolding an unwelcome starling. This matches previous years' arrival
times within 2-3 days. Welcome back!
