I make a quick stop at the Veteran's park lagoon to see whether I could spot the yellow-crowned night heron that has been spotted. For me, no luck, but fotunately, somebody spotted it Monday evening, so it is still there. I was there for a brief while. There are a few Green Herons and Black-crowned Night Herons there that you still might enjoy. The Green Herons I spotted where on the opposite ends of the lagoon on the west side. I enjoyed watching one eat a couple sizable fish within a few minutes. It then proceeded to fly and land south. I managed to then spot three juveniles.
