Becky was at her sister's house yesterday, which is southeast of Wyocena about
three miles. They were telling her about this unusual bird they had been
seeing around their house. Her sister and brother-in-law are birders only from
the feeders by their house and so their ID skills are not the best. They told
her about this bird they had been seeing around the house and Becky would have
been skeptical about the ID except that they had photos. For a couple of days
they had had a male Varied Thrush visiting them. Unfortunately they did not
know how uncommon this was and it was three to four weeks ago and has not been
seen since. Grrrrr!!! Oh well, they have put us on some nice birds in the
past and we keep trying to educate them on the more uncommon species!
