Hi all, Here are a few photos of the BN Stilt and the WF Ibis from Horicon Marsh Yesterday. I was treated to one of the stilts flying across the road about 30 feet in front of my car on Dike Rd and then was able to watch and photograph from 50 feet or so as he landed and fed right across from the water control structure. Thanks to Daryl for telling me about the ibis while watching the stilts and then having it in his sights when I drove up behind him on Hwy. 49. Horicon is definitely heating up with Forester's and Black Terns arriving in force this morning along with numerous BC Herons and GB Herons. I've been amazed at the numbers and tameness of BW Teal this spring there. I photographed a pair from 25 feet the other day and they payed no attention to me at all while they preened and slept. I've literally had to stop the car a couple of times on the auto tour route and Ledge Rd. because a pair were sitting on the road and wouldn't budge. This morning while on the boardwalk a pair of males swam all the way across the pond when I walked out and then swam within 10 feet of me almost looking like they were expecting to be fed or something. Two immature Bald Eagles on the end of Ledge Road a couple of days ago as well. Here's the pics.
