Hi all, I took advantage of the North winds to do a bit of hawk watching today. Hawk count was as follows: Red-tailed: 23Turkey Vulture: 47Cooper's Hawk: 4Sharp-shinned: 1It's a bit late for Broad-wings. I couldn't find any. I also saw my FOS Junco and Tennessee Warbler. There was one Red-headed Woodpecker at the usual spot on Dayton Ridge Rd. Warblers today were: Yellow-rumped: 30ishChestnut-sided: 1 Tennessee: 1 Northern Waterthrush: 1 Since when does one find only 1 Tennessee Warbler?? Oh well. Make sure you cover those garden plants. We're under a frost advisory tonight!
