Yesterday, Checked out some of the local Dane and Columbia Ponds: at Cuba
Valley/ Schumacher...Schumacher/V...WIBU/DM...DM/I and Goose Pond.
Expected species and nothing unusual except at Goose pond.
Goose Pond: One Peregrine Falcon was perched one of the trees at the pull-off
between the North and South ponds. At one point it was harassed some by a
Northern Harrier and switched trees. Not soon after it began to hunt and after
several passes focused in on some yellowlegs and was joined by a second
Peregrine...both birds kept things stirred up for about 10 minutes and headed
South West.
