Hi all -

Since November 18th I've had a Golden-crowned Kinglet (the first one
I've seen in 10 years of living here) coming to one of my yard's suet
feeders. With the wintry turn of today's weather I feared it would
leave for warmer climes, but this afternoon I was happily surprised to
see TWO Golden-crowned Kinglets in the birch tree near the feeder --
one with a bright orange/gold crown, and the other with a duller
yellow crown.

I've been attempting to get photos of it/them using my iPod touch held
up to the eyepiece of my spotting scope, and have some pics posted at
http://www.webpages.charter.net/qajaqer/gcki/ for documentation
purposes.

Happy new year all!
