If you live in Burnett, Polk, St. Croix, Washburn, Barron, Dunn, Rusk, or Chippewa you're probably in the area being served by the state's newest Audubon chapter, the Gaylord Nelson Audubon Society. Our organizational meeting will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 1 p.m. at the Ice Age Interpretive Center, Interstate State Park, St. Croix Falls. All are welcome! The highlight of the meeting will undoubtedly be a talk/slideshow by birder extraordinaire Robin Maercklein of the National Park Service. His presentation will be on birds of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.
