[wisb] Field Trip Invitation--no sightings

Hello,
WMAS (Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society) has two upcoming field trips. All
are welcome. Please see the descriptions below:

*May 20 (Sunday): Volo Bog Field Trip *

WMAS is excited to visit Volo Bog in nearby Ingleside, IL. Please meet us
at 9am at Volo Bog?s visitor center to traverse the bog. We can expect to
view birds such as Sandhill Cranes and Green Herons, and we might also view
frogs and muskrats right under our feet as we cross over the bog. Plant
lovers may find unique species that only grow in bogs (wetlands with water
supplied mainly by snow and rain). Afterward, we may have lunch at one of
the unique local restaurants. This should be a delightful outing. All are
welcome! See http://www.friendsofvolobog.org for more information.

*May 26 (Saturday): Birding in Oak Creek with Rita Wiskowski *

Rita is an avid birder and excellent photographer who frequents some of Oak
Creek and South Milwaukee?s birding hotspots. On Saturday, May 26, we will
meet at Bender Park?s north gravel parking lot, 4503 E. Ryan Road, just
inside the entrance, at 8:30am and she will help us locate migrating birds.
We will also travel up the road to South Metro Pier. Birds that we might
see include Bobolinks, colorful warblers and waterfowl. We are looking
forward to a memorable day!

Thank you,
--
