This morning I encountered 14 warbler species, 12 that were in a single flock along with about 8 chickadees. Among that flock were Golden-winged and Magnolia Warblers, both of which haven't nested in this area this season, although they do nest further west in the county. Because of the diversity of this flock, I believe that they might be the earliest 'fall' flock of warblers that I've ever seen.
