While being a bit envious and struggling to be patient after reading about all the birds down south, I spotted two Chimney Swifts while raking my yard this evening. And, this noon as I walked home for lunch, I passed a first year Cooper's Hawk munching on its lunch. So far this year, while walking the four blocks between work and home I have seen the following raptors: Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Cooper's Hawk, Sharp-shinned Hawk and Turkey Vulture.
