[wisb] Extirpation

Sort of off topic, however birds MAY be involved.
My niece, a high school freshman called me with a question. Name 5 animals
extirpated in WI. I went on-line and found: Mountain lion, American
bison- she found pronghorn; who knew! With all the reintroductions
(whooping crane, elk, fisher, etc.) the other extirpations elude me. What
about any of the caribous, grizzly bear?
I'll include a bird item. The Western grebe today was cool and unexpected.
