Chuck Sontag called this evening. ON Saturday at Horicon Marsch, he
found the 2 Eared Grebes. They were located on the NORTH side of 49,
looking to the northwest from the historical sign.
This evening (Monday) 4 Whimbrels appeared in the Manitowoc
impoundment. However a short time after they arrived, they suddenly
took off. Three flew south while the fourth took to the water in the
impoundment. The cause for their movement was the Peregrine Falcon,
which succeeded in capturing the Whimbrel that took to the water.
The other three eventually headed north.
